Is it normal to be itchy after use?
This can easily happen, and absolutely normal if the body’s cellular magnesium levels are low. The skin can feel as the magnesium is sucked through the skin quickly and as magnesium is a relatively large molecule it can cause this itchy feeling, sensation. It is quite important to remember that it is not an allergic reaction to the magnesium, as it is found naturally within the body and is vital to good health and can cure symptoms like tiredness, sleeping problems, cramps etc. Also if you have dry or broken skin it may heighten the sensation. Another probable cause might can bring this reaction is the amount used on one area. We recommend 2-3 sprays in one area and then up to 20 sprays a day. Also if you have dry or broken skin it may heighten the sensation.
Do I need to shower or rinse off MagEase after using it?
Showering or rinsing the magnesium oil after use is a matter of personal preference, and depends on how much, and where it is applied on the body. Most of the times, the more magnesium oil used per application, the higher likelihood you may prefer to rinse it off. In about twenty minutes your skin can take full advantage of directly applied magnesium, and it may be safely removed at that point.
What’s the difference between absorbing magnesium orally vs topically?
It is important to note that taking oral magnesium products may be a serious challenge for some of people. In several instances, this issue can make it more difficult for the body to rebuild adequate levels of intracellular magnesium. Due to the varying degree of magnesium absorption in each person, it is not an easy task to try and determine how effectively oral magnesium supplements will absorb, making it almost impossible to calculate with the outcome of magnesium intake. Magnesium applied directly on the skin does not have to pass through the digestive system, making it effectively quicker to absorb through the skin, maximising the benefits. Unlike oral supplements that need to pass through the stomach, where acids can potentially degrade the compounds, topical application ensures that the ingredients reach your bloodstream in their most potent form.
